Nancy M. Markland

Nancy M. Markland, 92, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on August 7th, 2022. She was born on October 22nd, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Susie Patete. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Nancy is survived by her son; John Markland, granddaughters; Elizabeth Markland and Laura Markland, great-granddaughter; Arabella Markland, step-son; Ewell Markland, brothers; David Patete and Stephen (Marlene) Patete, sisters; Carolyn (the late Gene) Kozinski, Mary (Larry) Huthmacher, and Ruthann Nestor.
Nancy was a devout Christian and lived a life in service of others. Known as a prayer warrior, she prayed for and helped the sick and those in need. She thoroughly enjoyed calligraphy and practicing the art. Nancy was kind and loving and will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family will receive guests for calling hours on Monday, August 15th from 11AM to 1PM at the Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Webb Parsons officiating. Concluding the service, procession to Forest Hill Cemetery will take place for the graveside service.
