Nancy L. Merryman

Nancy L. (Cyr) Merryman, of Chicopee and formerly of the Villages in Florida, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born in Lincoln, Maine, on August 9, 1949, the daughter of Joan (Soucier) Cyr and late Robert E. Cyr. She was a woman of creativity, warmth, and deep devotion to her family. An avid painter, Nancy found joy in expressing herself through art. Her passion for home decorating and crafts brought beauty and comfort into every space she touched, making those around her feel at home in her presence. But above all, Nancy treasured time spent with her family. Whether gathered for holidays, quiet afternoons, or simple moments, her happiest memories were made in their company. Nancy also held a special place in her heart for her home in Florida, where she created lasting memories filled with sunshine, laughter, and love. Her spirit, kindness, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her husband Winfield Merryman. She is survived by her mother Joan (Soucier) Cyr of Bristol, CT, and her four devoted children Kevin Maharne and his wife Heather of Agawam, Monica Lefevbre and her husband Ronald of Belchertown, Jennifer dos Santos and her husband Jack of Becket, MA., and Christine Dubour and her husband Thomas of Enfield, CT., a sister Gloria Cyr of Burlington, CT., and her brother Robert Cyr and his wife Lisa of, FL., and eleven cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Jeremy, Aaron, Lindsay, Jacob, Jason, Jonathan, Nathan, Tiffany, and Madeline . A calling hour will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4 PM - 5 PM at Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118. Followed by words of remembrance at 5 PM.
