Nancy Anne Moran, 71 of Hope Valley, Rhode Island passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Dennis Lee Moran. Born in Hartford, CT on February 18, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth F. O'Connell and Pauline V. O'Connell (Parker).

Nancy was an exceptionally kind and beautiful person who always prioritized others' needs before her own. Her smile was infectious. Spending quality time with her loving husband, Dennis, and her cherished family was always of utmost importance. Family events were a true source of happiness before her illness impeded her ability to travel.

As an Army spouse, Nancy exemplified flexibility and dedication by relocating with her husband to various states and living abroad in Panama twice. In each new location, she efficiently secured employment, coordinated relocation efforts, and facilitated her children's transition into new schools; all while making many new friends along the way.

Growing up in a household of ten children, Nancy acquired an early appreciation for the significance of family. She had a deep love for her parents, brothers and sisters and missed them dearly as she traveled.

With her extraordinary crafting skills, she continuously spread happiness among her family and friends through her artistic pursuits. She would paint gorgeous ceramic pieces, color vibrant landscape pictures, and create beautiful scrapbooks to perfectly capture cherished family and friends' memories. These priceless mementos will be cherished for a long time by her children, grandchildren and remaining family.

Nancy was an exceptionally skilled cook and thoroughly enjoyed cooking with Dennis. She took great pleasure in sharing their delectable dishes with family and friends at many family gatherings. It was a guarantee that visitors would be well-fed and leave with something whenever they came to visit.

Nancy was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Dennis Lee Moran. She leaves her children Jessica Verno (Michael), Caryn Moran and Brian Moran; grandchildren Alyssa Verno, Javon Moran, Ashley Verno, Salena Roche, Joshua Verno; brothers Michael Brainard (Mindy), James Brainard (Claudia), Kenneth O'Connell, Jr. (Linda), as well as sisters Sheryl Arseneault, Cynthia Oliver (Bob), Susanne Goguen, and Kathy Braue (John); as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth F. O'Connell and Pauline V. O'Connell (Parker) as well as her brother Charles Brainard and sister Carol O'Connell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 12pm (Noon) at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI. Family and friends are welcome for calling hours prior to the service from 10am until noon at the funeral home. Committal services will be held privately.
