In Loving Memory of Nancy M. Pumper (Née Sandell, formerly Greene) November 15, 1961 – June 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy M. Pumper on June 3, 2025, at the age of 63. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend-someone whose presence could brighten any room and whose love left a lasting impact.
Nancy was born on November 15, 1961, and lived a life rich in compassion, laughter, and strength. She adored her time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her world. Her lake property in Emily, Minnesota, was her peaceful escape-where she found happiness in fishing, bonfires, and the beauty of nature.
She was a longtime member of the Northfield VFW and worked with pride at Bon Appétit at Carleton College and later at Menards, where her warmth touched coworkers and customers alike.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dan Pumper; her mother, Barbara Mahul; her son, Chris Greene, and his wife Haillie Greene of Faribault; her daughter, Jana Greene of Northfield; and her beloved grandchildren: Walker and Waylon Greene of Faribault, and Hayley Greene, Kameron Hill, Kiya Hill, and Amiya Greene, all of Northfield.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steven Sandell and Michael Sandell.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 29 at 4:00 PM at L&M Bar and Grill in Dundas, Minnesota. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather and honor her memory.
Nancy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her humor, strength, and the boundless love she gave. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prairie's Edge Humane Society, a cause close to Nancy's heart-or simply offer a small act of kindness in her memory.
