Nancy Helen Ramsey, of Pembroke, Massachusetts, passed away at home on October 1, at the age of 65.
Born in Cambridge on April 4, 1960, Nancy was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor (Ferola) Roscoe. She spent her early years in Cambridge before moving to Pembroke in 1991 with her husband, George and their family.
Nancy and George met in 1977 and were married in 1982. For more than 48 years, they shared a partnership rooted in family and a devotion to one another. Through every challenge, George stood by her side with love and patience. A reflection of the life and commitment they built together.
Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit and the deep love she had for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend whose steady nature brought comfort to everyone around her. Confident and resilient, she dedicated her life to making a house a home and always made sure her family had what they needed. She faced life's ups and downs with quiet faith and inner strength, staying true to her Catholic roots and belief in God.
She had a soft heart, a kind spirit, and a lifelong love of animals. She had a special way with them and, later in life, loved feeding the deer and other wildlife that visited her yard. She found comfort in being at home, where small routines and familiar moments brought her calm and contentment. She found happiness in music and in the simple, everyday moments spent with family. She had a strong will and a stubborn side that kept everyone on their toes; and somehow, we all loved her more for it. Among her greatest joys was the time she shared with her grandsons. Their connection brought her peace and meaning, and she loved them with all her heart.
Nancy is survived by her husband, George Ramsey; her children, Amanda Baar (Nyan), Thomas Ramsey and Michael Ramsey; and her grandchildren, Aidan (Kaitlyn) and Kal Baar. She also leaves her siblings, James Roscoe, Kathleen Cuoco, Kevin Roscoe, and Linda DiCarlo; many nieces and nephews; and is remembered by her mother-in-law, Miriam Drysdale, and brother-in-law, Bryan Ramsey. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Eleanor Roscoe; father-in-law, Bryan Ramsey; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Scott Ramsey.
Her presence will be deeply missed. She will be remembered for the love she gave and the home she built around it. Her family was her heart, and her love will continue to guide them.
The Ramsey family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Nancy's life in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Holy Family Church in Rockland on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 9:00 AM.
