Nancy C. Riotto (nee Tuzzolo), of North Caldwell, NJ passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, with her family by her side, at the age of 106.
Nancy was born in 1919, raised in Lodi and lived most of her life in Clifton and North Caldwell. She married Albert C. Riotto in 1945 upon his return from serving in the army overseas during WWII, and settled in Clifton where they raised five children. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering faith in God and her remarkable goodwill, sincerity, and generosity were well-known, but above all, she was cherished for the profound love she held for her family. Nancy's legacy of love and kindness will continue to flourish in the lives of those who knew her. We cherish the countless moments of happiness she brought into our lives.
Nancy is the loving mother of Lorraine Zagula and her husband Joseph, Charles Riotto and his wife Andrea, Robert Riotto and his wife Terri, Maryanne Cosgrove and her husband John, and Arlene Smith and her former husband Ken. She is also survived by her 16 cherished grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Albert, her beloved grandson Michael Smith, and her siblings, Patrick Tuzzolo, Rosalie De Rose, Mildred Fanale, Lawrence Tuzzolo, Anthony Tuzzolo, Theresa DeGondea, Margaret Daleo and Frances (Annie) Pappacena.
Visiting will be held at the Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Thursday, July 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass to honor Nancy's remarkable life will be held at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave., North Caldwell on Friday, July 11th at 10 AM. Entombment to follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery Mausoleum, Lodi, NJ.
