Nancy Carol Lauber Schultz was born July 20, 1955 in the Milwaukee Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Clarence Alfred Lauber and Leora Anna (nee Blomberg) Lauber.
On Sunday, August 7th, 1955 Nancy was born again through the washing of Holy Baptism by Pastor Hillmer at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Franklin, WI.
On Sunday May 25th, 1969, she was confirmed-when she promised to be faithful even unto death. By grace alone the Holy Spirit enabled her to keep that promise. Hebrews 13:5 KJV
Nancy was a part of the first class to graduate from Wisconsin Lutheran College and had worked for the phone company.
She was blessed to teach computers and Algebra at our Luther Preparatory School from 1993 until 2009 and again from 2017 to 2021.
On Tony's birthday, Nancy met Tony at Pastor Timothy Bauer's Seminary Graduation party at the Lauber Farm. Right from the start!
On December 3, 1977, they were united in marriage at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Franklin, WI by Pastor Biebert.
Together they finished their Vicar Year at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. They lived in the upstairs of a house in Brown Deer, WI. On moving day Nancy went into labor and on August 25th, 1978 we were blessed with a son Matthew Edward.
Our first Church was a double wide trailer, Peace Ev. Lutheran Church, on Pebble Creek Trail, Loves Park, IL
On June 27, 1980 we were blessed with twin daughters, Melinda Carol and Melissa Marie, born in Rockford, IL.
After 4 years at Peace we accepted a call to Trinity, Dundee where we were blessed for 9 years. There our daughter Dawn joined our family!
On November 1, 1991 we were installed at St. Luke's Ev. Lutheran Church, in Watertown.
On November 18, 2004 by the grace of God, Nancy received a Liver and Kidney transplant. For over 20 years through these precious blessings Jesus made her strong.
On Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025 in the middle of the afternoon, Nancy met Jesus face to face. Jesus didn't just make her better-He made her perfect!
Healing through the incredible power of the Easter Gospel are her husband Tony. Daughter Dawn with husband Michael and sons Zachary and Noah. Son Matthew with his wife Laura and children Oliver, Henry and Stella. Coleton with his wife Holly Pringle; Melinda with husband Jeffrey Bigelow and children Jacob-engaged to Elizabeth; Hannah, Samuel and Bartholemew. Melissa with her husband Robert Romberg and son Jackson Daniel.
Left to mourn her are her brother David with Beverly; Marty with Nancy's sister Kathleen also safe in Heaven. Jimmy-his wife Judi is with Jesus in Heaven, Keith and his wife Judy, Karen with her husband Pastor Timothy Bauer. Nancy's Mom and Dad are also in Heaven. Also three little grandchildren-went straight to Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Justin Cloute and Rev. Timothy Redfield officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The service will be live streamed via St. Luke's Lutheran Church –
Watertown, WI YouTube channel. After the service-lunch will be served in the church basement. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to the Watertown ROC Youth Center or to Christian Life Resources (Lock Box 56 Richfield, WI 53076-2256).
