Nancy Lee Simonich, 77, passed away on April 27, 2024. Nancy loved much and laughed often. She spent a lifetime with her beloved husband Tom. Nancy and Tom were married 58 years. Their lives were enriched by traveling, hobbies, and just enjoying life together.

Nancy was delighted in life by the many ladies of her family- her two sisters, two daughters, three granddaughters and two great granddaughters. Family was everything to Nancy and she felt rich beyond measure.  These ladies brought  the men and boys of their lives to the family and Nancy warmly welcomed them as well.

Nancy was filled with immense pride about running an in-home daycare for nearly 40 years, which even included the children of her former children.  She enjoyed watching them learn and grow into successful adults. She stayed connected with many of the children and their parents over the years. She considered them family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas William Mincks, and Sadie Bertha (Baxter) Mincks and her sister Jean Hamer. She is survived by Tom, her sister Karen Wilkins of Iowa, her daughters Denise Jamison and husband Jim Jamison of Kansas, and Dawn Simonich and husband Chris Lazzaro of Austin.  She also leaves behind granddaughters Kinsey Jamison, Delaney Jamison, and Kylie Simonich Bojorquez, grandsons Dean Lazzaro and David Lazzaro as well as great granddaughters Stevie and Rowan Paulov.

A memorial service for Nancy will be at 10 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel and a reception to follow. The service will be livestreamed.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Judes.
