Nancy Johnson Spiller

Nancy Johnson Spiller, 76 (4/18/1948-12/20/2024) passed away Friday December 20, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington Kentucky. Nancy, born on April 18, 1948, was the daughter of Bedford Owen Johnson and Ruby Mae Johnson of Lexington who preceded her in death. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Steven Michael Spiller, her brother Wayne Johnson (Sherry), her sister Sibyl Barnard (Martin), her four sons Chris Spiller, Kevin (Stacy) Spiller, Jason (Tara) Spiller, and Adam (Melissa) Spiller. Nancy also had eight grandchildren Larissa and Myra Spiller (Chris), Charlie and Maxwell Spiller (Kevin), Brandon and Abigail Spiller (Jason), Hannah Thompson and Jack Spiller (Adam), along with one great granddaughter Jade Spiller (Myra).
Nancy graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington Kentucky and while raising her children she went back to school to earn an associate's degree in nursing from Lexington Community College. Nancy was a hard-working person spending her life in the healthcare industry starting as a registered nurse and finishing her career inspecting nursing home facilities for the State of Kentucky. Her work ensured Kentucky residents received the highest level of care while at their most vulnerable.
In her retirement, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her husband. Nancy was very generous to her family. She spent much of her time ensuring her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild would have every opportunity to succeed in life. She will be missed.
Nancy will be interred at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky. A memorial service will be planned for the spring, details will be forthcoming.
