Nancy V. Stoddard, 89, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at her residence.
Nancy was born April 6, 1933 in Hartford Connecticut the daughter of (the late) Harold and Elizabeth (Lepak) Vroom. She was united in marriage to James A. Stoddard August 3, 1954 in Florida who preceded her in death.
Nancy retired with 30 plus years of service as the Librarian at the Pierceton Public Library. She absolutely loved her morning coffee. She was known for being an avid reader consisting of 3 to 4 books weekly. Nancy enjoyed sewing and could make anything she was asked to do. She was the World Best Librarian, a loving mother, wife, and grandmother.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kim (William Jr) Saillant of Pierceton, Kelly (Paul) Bumbaugh of Larwill; son Mark (Lisa) Stoddard of Pierceton; sister Linda (Ralph) Klumb of Granby CT; grandchildren Susan (Joel) Warstler, Alexander Stoddard, James Stoddard, Jamie Bumbaugh, step grandchildren, William (Trisha) Saillant III, Kristin (Ron) Ousley and Brianna Bumbaugh and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband James she was preceded in passing by 2 sisters Sandra Vroom and Janice Galick.
A Public Celebration of Life for Nancy is planned on April 22,2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Pierceton Presbyterian Church 309 S First St, Pierceton, IN 46562.
