Nanette L Ware, 64, passed away on Saturday, Feb 22, 2025 in Indianapolis IN, surrounded by her beloved family after a 5 year battle with cancer.
Born on October 26th, 1960, she was the daughter of Lee and Nancy Hetrick of West Lebanon, IN and they both survive.
Nanette was graduated from Seeger High School in the Class of 1978 and she immediately went to work as an administrator, first at Shawnee Learning Center in Attica and then for the Metropolitan School District of Warren County, serving for over 35 years.
In 1981 she met the love of her life, Tim Ware and were joined in marriage on November 28th, 1981. The couple raised a family; Jeremy (Suzie) Ware, Mackenzie (fiancée Bryan Benner) Ware , and Tyler (Sara) Ware.
Nanette was a people person, she loved her family and community, annually making and serving caramels to her neighbors, and also her nurses while being treated. She enjoyed her son and grandson’s baseball games, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed vacations to anywhere with a beach, and collected every form of Christmas Snowman available. She was beloved by Tim’s classmates of The Williamsport High School Class of 1972 and was named an “Honorary Bingy Bomber”!
Cancer may have claimed her, but it did not defeat her; to her last day she was smiling, kept others upbeat, carried herself with dignity, and was a genuinely selfless daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was a wonderful fur mother and loved her dog Oscar and cat Otis.
Nanette is survived by her husband Tim, both parents, her brother Cary(Michelle)Hetrick, sisters Nancee Hetrick and Natalie (Dwight) Griggs, grandsons Dakota and Jace Ware, Kelton and Kendyll Myers, Grayson Ware and another baby boy Ware on the way, granddaughter Maggie Benner, and great-grandson Deklan Ware.
