Born on September 10, 1922 in Westville, IL to Polish immigrant parents Magdelene Wichtacz and Lawrence Pachciarz, she was the youngest of seven children.
Lillian graduated from Westville High School in 1940 and worked at the First National Bank until her marriage June 4, 1955 to Elmer Edward Etchison of Stewart, IN. She was a prolific letter writer to family and friends her whole life and never threw away cards or letters she received. She loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews very much and loved family gatherings.
Survivors include her daughter Polly (David) Gorden of Indianapolis and son Burton (Suzi) Etchison of Williamsport, also granddaughters Carrie Gorden (Danny Ekhaus) of San Diego, CA and Claire Gorden of Chicago, IL.
