Nathaniel James Fether, 36, of Pittsford, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, from a logging accident. He was a lifelong Pittsford resident and owner of Fether Hardwoods. Nathan was born October 20, 1988, to Larry and Barbara (Briskey) Fether. He worked on the family dairy farm and also for his grandparents, Jim and Eva Briskey, at Pittsford Grain, Inc. Nathan was the most kind and generous person. Anyone who knew him liked and respected him. He started his business, Fether Hardwoods, with little help and grew it into a respected and reputable business. He and his life partner, love of his life, Allison Grimm recently began their venture into farming. Nathan was known for his integrity and work ethic, along with his passion for sustainable logging and farming. However, to his loved ones he was most remembered and admired for his silly nature and for always having a smile on his face. Our loss is incomprehensible. Nathan leaves behind his parents, his love Allison, brothers Sam Fether of Hudson, and Henry Fether of Maryland. Sisters Katie (Brett) Clayton of New Mexico, Emily (Ben Nelson) Fether of Lansing, and Amber (Justin Fish) Fether of Belleville; numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends, and supportive community. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Eagle Marry Funeral Home, Hudson MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or, to support logging families and the logging community, Eastern Loggers, 9143 County Road 201, Fredericksburg, OH 44627.
