Nathaniel Hutton

Nathaniel Hutton of Chicago, departed this earthly life December 15, 2024. He was born September 28, 1947 in Epps, Louisiana the son of Isaac and Lula Hutton. Nathaniel lived in Rockford several years coming from Chicago, them moving back during his illness. He married Dorothy Hutton, she preceded him in death. Nathaniel was employed as a bus driver by Chicago Mass Transit many years before retiring. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. Nathaniel was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church before becoming ill. He graduated from Magnolia High School, in Pioneer, LA.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish many loving memories, four children, Brian (Erika ) Hutton, Cornelius White, Thomas Hutton and Nakia Hutton; grandchildren; six sisters, Jeri Evans, Dorothy (Arthur) Miller, Deloris (Marvin) Chambliss, Barbara (Robert) Daniels, Joyce (Paul) Hester and Gwendolyn Tucker; and brother, Vernon Brown; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Charles Louis Hutton; and sister, Cleo Moten.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
