Sheila & Family. Neal was a giant at OSHA in the Boston-South region. I met him while he was the Area Director who soon became a mentor and good friend. Upon his retirement he joined our OSHA Consultation Program at the MA Dept of Labor where he acted as a mentor to all and good friend there, as well. To little space here to explainwhat he was to so many people so I will simply say my memories lift me up ... hopefully yours do the same for you going forward.
Indeed, he was one of the good ones !

I was part of Neal's Coast Guard Reserve unit in Boston for a few years and he was also a good friend to my deceased husband, CDR Bill Ryan, USCGR. They later formed a retirement group and met for lunch a few times each year.
My fondest memory is of a Christmas party at the home of our Commanding Officer when Neal & I attended as Mr. & Mrs. Claus, very authentically dressed.
Neal always spoke lovingly of Sheila and I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times.
He will be missed. RIP Neal.

I worked alongside Neal for many years at both OSHA and MA Dept Labor and he was probably the most technical safety consultant I've ever met. Neal was an outstanding consultant and a better friend who will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I worked with Neal at OSHA. He was my supervisor for a time and he was a great manager and lively person to be around. Sorry to hear of his passing. Eight-one is too young nowadays. Natalie Kadis

Neal was my commanding officer in the Coast Guard Reserve. He attended my son´s Eagle Scout ceremony in his Coast Guard uniform. I learned a lot about safety and health from him and life in general. He will be sorely missed by the many people who knew him.
