Neal Nelson Ramadon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by his family. Born in 1936 in Palmer, Massachusetts, Neal lived a life defined by devotion, hard work, humor, and an unwavering love for the people around him.

Neal married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth (Miller) Ramadon, the love of his life and his partner for decades. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, tradition, and the values that would guide their growing family for generations to come.

Neal and Elizabeth were blessed with four children, each of whom was shaped by his strength, his dedication, and the example he set:

Thomas Ramadon, father to Neal's grandchildren Kristin and Jeffery, and great-grandfather to Caroline and Maren

Laurie (Ramadon) Bly, mother to grandsons Tripp and Chase, and great-grandfather to Margot

Carolyn (Ramadon) Augur, mother to grandsons Bobby and Tyler

Allyson Ramadon

To his grandchildren, Neal was lovingly known as "Pop-Pop," a nickname that beautifully captured his joyful spirit and his habit of always "popping up" whenever someone needed him. Whether at milestones, celebrations, or the small everyday moments, he was present with pride, encouragement, and a warm smile. His grandchildren were the light of his life.

In the West Haven community, Neal was widely known as "Turk," the former owner of Turks Restaurant, a beloved local institution. Neal created more than a restaurant-he created a gathering place where people felt welcome, cared for, and at home. His humor, storytelling, and endless supply of jokes turned customers into friends and made Turks a true neighborhood staple.

Neal lived a life built on love, loyalty, and generosity. He showed affection through presence and consistency, through actions rather than words. At home, he was the steady foundation of his family. In the community, he was someone people respected, trusted, and genuinely enjoyed being around.

He will be remembered for his welcoming smile, his gifts of humor, the joy he brought to others, and the profound pride he carried for his family. His legacy lives on through the countless people he touched.

Neal is survived by his devoted wife Elizabeth; his four children Thomas, Laurie, Carolyn, and Allyson; and his cherished grandchildren Kristin, Jeffery, Tripp, Chase, Bobby, and Tyler, and his beloved great-grandchildren Caroline, Maren and Margot.

His spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him and in the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind.
