Nel Grace (Bly) Stoudt, of Turbotville, PA, joined our Lord on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in 1953 to the late Ned and Marguerite (Duvall) Bly, she grew up in Watsontown, PA, and graduated from Warrior Run High School, class of 1971. In 1972, she married Gary Stoudt and celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Surviving are two sons and their families: Robert and Rebecca (Menis) Stoudt and children: Benjamin, Brian, and Lauren; and Joseph and Amanda (Webb) Stoudt and children: Madeline and Clara. Nel is also survived by two sisters and their husbands: Ann (Bly) and Thomas Campbell; and Nedette (Bly) and Gerald Otterbein.
Nel was a former class aid and secretary at Warrior Run Middle School, Turbotville, PA, a secretary at Montgomery Elementary School, Montgomery, PA, and retired a beloved secretary at Cochran Elementary School in Williamsport, PA, after 30 years in public education.
Nel was an active congregant of Trinity United Church of Christ, Watsontown, PA, where throughout her 52-year membership she served as Sunday School teacher, choir member, church board member, and church treasurer. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed cooking for others, crafting, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
A funeral service will take place at 10am Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 602 Main St, Watsontown, with burial at Watsontown Cemetery.
A luncheon to share memories and celebrate her life will immediately follow at the Montour Preserve Education Center, 374 Preserve Rd, Danville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 602 Main St, Watsontown, PA 17777.
