After attending Gorman High School, Sue married the love of her life, Joe H. Ross. Together they built a beautiful life, raising five children and faithfully serving as members of the Gorman Church of Christ.
A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Sue’s talents were as boundless as her spirit. Whether working in the hayfield, mending what was broken, or nurturing her family, she poured her heart into every task. Though small in stature, she possessed a remarkable strength - both of body and of will - that left an indelible impression on all who knew her. She had a gift for caring for others and lived with a fierce devotion to those she loved. Above all, she treasured her role as grandmother and great-grandmother, finding her greatest joy in the laughter and love of her family.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe H. Ross; her daughter, Darenda Ross; sons, Rodney Ross and Cody Ross; her parents, B.F. and Purnia Faye Grice; and siblings, Sarah Widner, Jackie Grice, and Max Grice.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bruce F. Ross and wife, Kelly of Weatherford, Texas; son, Michael G. Ross and wife, Tena of Eastland, Texas; daughters-in-law, Catherine Ross and Darlene Ross; along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and strength.
Sue's life was a testament of resilience, devotion, and grace. Those blessed to know her will remember her unwavering care and the warmth of her presence, and her legacy will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
