Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services Larry Paul Manry, age 83, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Born on October 15, 1941, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, to Delmas and Jessie (Poole) Manry, Larry lived a life marked by service, hard work, and devotion to family.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years, a season of discipline and honor that shaped the man he would become. Afterward, he continued his life of service and leadership as a captain with the fire department. Transitioning into business, Larry poured his determination into building and operating a successful heavy machinery and rock-crushing excavation company - an enterprise that reflected both his grit and his vision.
Forty years ago, Larry married Carol Parsons, whom he met at the stockyards through his love of horses. Together they built a life of shared devotion, raising their daughter, Alice, and treasuring the joy found in their two grandchildren.
More than just pastimes, Larry found great satisfaction and peace in quail hunting and the company of his horses.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas and Jessie Manry, and by his brother, Ralph Manry.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Manry of Weatherford, Texas; his daughter, Alice Lee and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Ryan Lee and Kylie Lewis with wife, Mylee Jo; sisters, Connie Sizemore and husband, Jim, Bonnie Starks, and Jo Alice Street; as well as many, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends who will long remember his strength, kindness, and steadfast spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Diamond H3 Ranch, located at 5400 Old Brock Road, Weatherford, Texas 76087.
Larry’s legacy is one of honor, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved and remains a lasting example to all who knew him.
