Nell Abbott Obituary
HENDERSON- Betty Nell Robinson Abbott, 90, of South Lake Lodge Road, died Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Maria Parham Health. Born January 17, 1936 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Lois Newman Robinson and Roger Robinson. She retired from the Vance County School System where she worked as both a bus driver and a substitute teacher at Zeb Vance School. Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Dr. Gene Wood.
Betty is survived by a son, Randy Abbott, and wife, Susan of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Kelly A. Bondurant and husband, Justin, Jordan Abbott; Destiny Tingen, Shannon Abbott, Heather Abbott, Mandy Abbott and Randall Abbott; three great-grandchildren, Evan Bondurant, Ashton Abbott and Christian Markham; two sisters, Sylvia Edwards of Henderson and Mella Grissom of Henderson; her brother, Bobby Robinson; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Aiken Abbott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Abbott and David Abbott; her daughter, Patsy Rhodes; a sister, Shelby King; and a brother, Freeland Robinson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30 A.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home on Thursday.
