Nell Hadley Collins passed away at 90 years of age on August 3, 2025 in Perry, GA. She was a homemaker and worked in the service industries of healthcare and early childhood care. As a result of her servant heart and extensive care of children, both in her home and daycare facilities, she became known as a mother to many.
A very skilled cook, baker and seamstress, she also had a deep love of reading. Her passion was in serving and she often used her talents to assist others. She was a long-time member of the Branham Tabernacle in Jeffersonville, IN.
She is survived by sons, Roger Clyde Collins (Monica), Mark David Collins (Kim), Jesse Daniel Collins and daughters, Sylvia Zerwas (John), Gayle Dunn, Rebekah Alexander (Paul) and Elisabeth Walker. She is survived by one brother, Edwin Hadley (Barbara).
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Welby Clyde Collins, son Timothy James Collins, granddaughter, Hope Dawn Collins, grandson, Marcus Adam Walker, brother, Landon Hadley, and sister, Loretta Bryant.
She had 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, IN is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th from 6-8pm and service will be held on Friday, August 8 at 10am in the Funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Eastern cemetery at the conclusion of the service.
