Nellie Reyes, 95, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2024. She was born to Joaquin and Frances (Quica) Ayala in Tererro, New Mexico on July 1, 1928. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jerardo Reyes, and great grandson Mason Reyes. She is survived by her children Margaret (Sam) Gonzales, (Matthew, Anesa, Maylin); Linda (Fred) Quinonez (Rachel); Rick (Teresa) Reyes (Jeff, Melissa, Aaron); Rueben (Kathy) Reyes (Jessica and Phillip); Ronnie Reyes (April and Ryan); Chrystella Benfatti, Loretta Howard (Marissa and Myles); JB (Bernadette) Reyes (Jalen, Tre, Jeremiah and Julian) and Paul Reyes. She had 12 great grandchildren Nevaeh Pfenning, TJ and Jacob Encinas; Carter Reyes, JJ Patti, Kennedy Patti, Jayden and Tyler Mayberry; and Emmie, Margot, Rori, and Poppy Reyes. She is also survived by her sister, Carmen Torres and her sister-in-law Lydia Ayala. Nellie spent time daily in prayer for her children and her extended family. Her desire was that all her family would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior. And for those who knew the Lord, she would encourage them to live for the Lord. She was a faithful servant of the Lord at Salon Biblico where she served at various capacities including teaching Sunday School, Bible School and Bible Camps.
