Nelson Stephen Ringgold Jr.

Nelson Stephen Ringgold, Jr. of Eastampton passed away surrounded by his loved ones on July 27, 2022.
He was born in Teaneck, NJ by the late Margaret (nee Machosko) and Nelson S. Ringgold, Sr. He was a former resident of Pennsauken before he resided in Eastampton for 48 years. Nelson loved photography and was always taking pictures. He was known as an avid history buff and loved watching the history channel. He was also in the New Jersey National Guard after serving for over 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. In his 40 + years of working he achieved many accolades in both the business and financial industries. Nelson will be remembered as a dad/pop pop who never missed a chance to call and sing happy birthday to all his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered by his loved ones as a person who was always there to support anyone at anytime. We would be remiss if we didn't mention his love of his dog Callie.
Nelson is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia A. Ringgold (nee Markiewicz); his 4 children, Dawn Goldman (Steven), Kimberly Ringgold (Robbie Peterolff), Steven Ringgold (Jennifer), Timothy Ringgold (Kelly); His sister Peggy Glaspey (Steven); Grandchildren Michael Ringgold, Matthew Goldman, Kyle Ringgold, Alexis Ringgold, Kassandra Reed, Samuel Ringgold, Izaac Ringgold, Elaina Ringgold, Abigail Ringgold, Maya Ringgold, Lucas Ringgold and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law Joseph and Peggy Markiewicz, he is also survived by his sister in law/best friend Denise Roberson (preceded in death by Bill Roberson); brothers-in-law Jimmy Markiewicz and Joe Markiewicz (Rose).
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 10AM to 12PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Memorial service to follow at 12PM.
