Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, August 15, 2025, Neta Akins Cook, 92.
A strong-willed, loving, and devoted grandmother known as Mema, Neta was a wonderful cook who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Family members include her grandchildren: Summer Cook, Emily Cook, and Grant Cook; great-grandchildren: Kate Barbare, Alice Barbare, and Rose Barbare; and brother George Akins (Sandra).
She was preceded in death by her beloved sons George Leon Boyette and Michael Lee Cook.
The memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Don Widener officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
