Nettie Grace Patterson, a dedicated nurse and beloved family member, passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 2, 1941, Nettie spent her life devoted to caring for others, both in her professional capacity as a nurse and as a loving matriarch to her family.
Throughout her career, Nettie was known not only for her exceptional skills and commitment to her profession but also for the compassion she showed to her patients and peers alike. Her caring nature extended beyond the walls of the hospital, as she also nurtured her family with love and support.
Nettie is survived by her son, Lawrence Simmons; sister, Emma Harrison along with numerous grandchildren and a wide circle of family and friends who cherished her presence in their lives. Her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we reflect on Nettie's life, we celebrate her contributions as a healthcare professional and the indelible impact she made on her family and community. Her legacy of care, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services of Batson, Texas.
