Nicholas Henry Chandler was a West Bend native, born in the middle of a snowstorm in the early hours of December 28,1987. Like that night he remained a wonderful, loving, and beautiful chaotic storm in so many lives. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and will be deeply missed and remembered by all. Nick was an amazing father, bonus father, son, partner, and brother to so many. As he strived to improve the lives of everyone by making them brighter and happier, he was also there to make them laugh. Oh and what an infectious laugh he had, to have known him would have only enriched your life. His friends and family were incredibly proud of the great man he had become. Nick was a wonderful and loving father to Kaiden and a great bonus father to Axel and Melina. He was so very proud and supportive of the young adults they were becoming and loved them all beyond words.
Nick loved spending time with his family and friends. He most enjoyed his time with his father, children, finance, and his beloved dogs Toby aka Old Tobe and Loki. Some of his fondest times with them were spent having fires, cooking, gardening, playing darts, hiking, doing tricks on the trampoline with his children, staying up late talking or doing side projects with his best friend and father. Nick also enjoyed working, cooking, and laughing with his sister Katie. He loved her so much, he was her number one supporter, and protector. Nick was always annoyed but secretly loved the fact that his mother would tell him everyday "good morning", "goodnight", how proud she was of him, and how much she loved him. He was always in a great mood and made the most out of every day. He loved discing with friends and always had his speaker with him, blasting music or hanging out at home with his bros rapping.
Nick will be missed, loved, remembered, and cherished by all. His sister will remember him as always being there for her as her big brother and protector. They enjoyed their movie nights together. His children will remember them cooking together, playing games, playing on their trampoline, and the fact he taught his son how to do a front flip and his youngest a backflip. His oldest will remember their love and excitement for the same type of music and when he would drive them to the bus stop every morning. His mother and father will never forget the warmth he touched their hearts with, the fact that he was a wonderful son, and a great father. His finance will remember him as always being her light, her best friend, and the touch and feel of her hand in his.
Nick Chandler was only 34 when he departed this world but never our hearts, on Sunday October 30 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Stewart, uncle Gerald Gengler, and great grandfather Nobert Gengler which he had a deep connection with. He is survived by his mother Sherri Chandler, father and best friend Tim Chandler, sister and his real bestie Katie Chandler, son Kaiden Chandler, great friend Nicole Busack, grandmother Diane Stewart, daughters Axel Otradovec and Melina Hobbs, fiance Kristie Hobbs, bonus sister and close friend April Hobbs, nephew and little buddy Aries, cousins Troy Chandler and Ashley Wilcott, oldest and loyal friend Austin Flasch, Aunt Sue Stadler and uncle Jay Stadler, cousins Kennedy and Christain, uncle Jeff Stewart and Aunt Tammy Stewart, cousins Samantha, Jeffy, his wife Katie, and their daughters, grandparents Hank Chandler and Judy, uncle Mike Chandler and Aunt Kim Chandler, cousins Justin and Nathan Chandler, Aunt Patty Fohr, and so many more friends and family.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. Family and friends can gather for a period of visitation to celebrate Nick's life from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
WHEN I GO
When I go
don't learn to live without me
just learn to live with my love
in a different way.
And if you need to see me
close your eyes
or look in your shadow
when the sun shines
I'm there.
Sit with me in the quiet and you will know
that I did not leave.
There is no leaving when a soul is blended with another.
When I go
don't learn to live without me
just learn to look for me in the moments.
I will be there.
