Nicholas Robert "Raven" Hartung

Nicholas "Raven" Robert Hartung, age 36, of Saginaw, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw.
He was born on September 29, 1986, to Robert Hartung and Diane Czerney in Saginaw.
Raven is survived by his beloved parents, Robert and Diane; sister, Krystal (Logan) McCauley, aunt and uncle, Chris and Gerald Jones; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Beatrice Hartung, and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Shirley Czerney; and brother, Andrew Switala.
Raven was a beloved tattoo artist in the Tri-City area. He started tattooing at the age of 17 at Rock Solid Tattoo. A very talented artist, he specialized in color realism and new school tattooing, receiving many awards and accolades for his color portraits. He had much adoration and interest for adventure. Raven has so many friends that became family, from his "Pit-Rat" family to the family he has made throughout his tattooing career. Never one to take life for granted, he lived it to the absolute fullest. His ancestry was something he held very dear to his heart and felt much pride over. He had a good story to tell anyone with whom he held company. Whether known as Nick, Spyder, or Raven, there was a good story attached to his choice of names.
Graveside service and burial will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, 381 St. Andrews Road, Saginaw, MI 48638.
