Dr. Nicholas J. Juele, passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on November 2, 1939, in Philadelphia, Dr. Juele led a life marked by profound achievements and enduring relationships. He leaves behind a legacy of professional and personal excellence.
Nicholas Juele is the cherished husband of 58 years to Margaret M. Juele (nee Monaghan). He was a beloved brother to Theresa Jahanger and Joyce Hanley, and a respected brother-in-law to Catherine Monaghan, Susan Skochin, and her husband, Jerome and Paul Monaghan and his wife, Barbara. He was a caring uncle to Carol Jahanger, Kathryn Wright, Mary Hanley, Jack Hanley, Anne Peel and her husband, Richard, Jillian Hanley, Brian Zinman, and his wife Judy, Meredith Holland, and her husband Tim, Keith Monaghan, and Julie Maher, M.D., and her husband Sean. He also loved their Wire Haired Terriers they had through the years.
Following his high school graduation, Dr. Juele's commitment to service led him to the US Navy, where he spent five years in Aviation. After being honorably discharged, he pursued his higher education, earning both a Master's degree and a Doctorate. His passion for learning and helping others culminated in a distinguished medical career spanning over 45 years. For more than three decades, Dr. Juele owned and operated a well-respected medical practice in Medford, where he was known for his dedication to his patients and community.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Juele was a man of many talents and interests. His creative spirit was evident in his authorship of three novels and his accomplishments as an oil painter. His interest in landscaping and architecture manifested in the beautiful home he designed in Shamong, a place that reflected his passions, that he and his wife, Margaret owned and loved.
He led a life of purpose and passion. His intellectual curiosity and creative endeavors were matched only by his selfless dedication to his family and patients. He was a man who not only sought knowledge but also applied it in ways that enriched the lives of those around him.
As we bid farewell to Dr. Nicholas J. Juele, we celebrate a life well-lived, a mind well-exercised, and a heart well-loved. Please join the family for his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday November 4 at 11am at St. Mattias Church 128 Bryn Mawr Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken PA.
Dr. Juele's story does not end here as it will continue on in the lives of those he loved and those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
