Nicholas E. Polyak
March 25, 1944-January 13, 2024
Nicholas E. Polyak, age 79, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away on January 13th, 2024. Nick was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Cecilia Polyak and his sister Mary Alice Polyak. Nick was born March 25, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the beloved son of Cecilia and Nicholas Polyak and sister Mary Alice Polyak.
Nick was a success in many aspects of his life. The most important to him was being "Dad "or "Pops" or "Pap Pap" or "Pappy" to his loving children and Granddaughters! Nick was proud of service to his country in the US Army. He was also proud of his long and successful business career with 3M Company where he held positions he held in Sales and Marketing. After his retirement from 3M he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks to fulfill a lifetime dream of building a special space on the lake where his children and grandchildren could enjoy creating lifetime memories.
Most of all Nick loved spending time with his family. He spent the very best of times and 58 happy years with his beloved wife Valerie. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends at the lake. He also loved landscaping and fishing.
Nick is survived by his loving wife; Valerie Polyak of Sunrise Beach, Missouri and his children, Nick Jr, his wife Lori and Granddaughters Emily and Ellie of Flower Mound Texas, his daughter Beth Ann Nichols and husband David of Wentzville, MO, and Granddaughters' Claire Roebuck (Dylan) of Columbia, MO and Gail Nichols of Springfield, Mo and his son Steve of Sunrise Beach. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Nick never wore religion on his sleeve but had a strong belief in Jesus Christ having been raised Catholic at early age. He will be in the hearts of his family forever. Following Nicks wishes he will be cremated and the family will have a celebration of his life at the Lake of the Ozarks in June during their annual family reunion.
