Samuel Andrew Rieser

Samuel Andrew Rieser Sr., age 75, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri passed away on January 10, 2026, at Lake Regional Health System.
Samuel Andrew Rieser Sr. was born in Bismarck Missouri to Eldred Rieser and Stella Kitchen on September 28, 1950. He grew up in Kimmswick Missouri with siblings Frankie, Joe, and Laura. At the age of 18 he met, fell in love with, and married Debra Miller. They had their first child Kimberly May 26, 1970, and moved to California where he drove an orange truck. He later joined the US Air Force and became a jet engine mechanic. They lived in Mountain Home Idaho where he was stationed at the Air Force Base. On June 11, 1975, their son Samuel Andrew Rieser Jr. was born at the Air Force Base hospital. In 1980, he and Debra divorced and he moved to St. Louis Missouri and began his career as an auto mechanic. His son blessed him with his first granddaughter Samantha on June 21, 1991, and his second granddaughter Brandi June 24 1993. Shortly after that he met, and fell in love with his wife Vickie Wry forming a blended family with her children Danna and David Harrell. They lived next door to his son in Lemay Missouri for many years helping raise their grandchildren. In 2001 they began building their dream home at the Lake of the Ozarks. They finished and moved into their home in 2005 where he started his own mechanic shop from his garage. They spent the next years enjoying lake life, making many friends, being Nascar racing enthusiasts, and taking multiple trips to Mexico. He became widowed February 1, 2007, and lived out the rest of his years in their dream house.
He is preceded by his parents Eldred and Stella, his wife Vickie, his sister Frankie, his ex-wife Debra, his son Samuel Jr., and his sister Laura.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly, granddaughters Samantha and Brandi, and his great grandchildren Ava, Steven, Baylee, and June. He will be greatly missed as a Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend.
A Celebration of Life that was planned for January 24, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Samuel's home has been postponed due to weather concerns and will be announced at a later date.
