We lived on the corner from Nick and his family for many years as we were growing up. My stepbrother, Gordon Fisher, and Nick used to go hunting for squirrels and what have you and bring them home to be eaten for supper. My mom, Gurnith Smith, was married to Jack Fisher until his death, and I don´t know how but I think Jack was somehow related to the Sopels. It may have been through his ex-wife.They were a wonderful family. Nick was a great guy. Our hearts go out to all of you.

Nick a close friend who I met through my brother in law Richard Schmidt who was like a brother to Nick. I worked with him at A&P and hunted and fished with Nick& Rich many many times. My Britney had pups and he had the pick of the litter. Great dog trainer and man with a great hummer & personality. Will be mist.

I've known Nick since high school. Good memories in Accounting class. A really great friend and neighbor to my brother and sister-in-law. Thinking of his family, friends, and loved ones during this sad time.

My condolences to the family and friends. Nick and I shared a lot of time together starting in grade school to graduation. So many fun memories I can recall with great enjoyment. Our summer days fishing the Pine River and school activities. His painted Plymouth and so many more. I thot of him often.
A wonderful friend. I'll miss him.
Rest in peace Nick.
