Nicholas Paul Uberti Jr.

Nicholas Uberti Jr., age 86, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He is the husband of sixty years to Beverly (Early) Uberti.
He was born in Derby on November 26, 1936, son of the late Nicholas and Helen (Monaco) Uberti. Nicholas was a lifelong resident of the Valley graduating from Derby High School where he played football and baseball. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and Army and enjoyed playing sports during his service. Nicholas retired as a final assemblyman from Avco Lycoming. He then spent his retirement years as the chauffeur to Sargent Slaughter and Joe Liberman, as well as many private clients. He loved fishing and hunting, especially with his children and grandchildren. Nicholas was an avid golfer in his younger years and the biggest fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees.
Nicholas is survived by his wife Beverly (Early) Uberti, daughter Kimberly Wentz and her husband David, son Kevin Uberti, son Keith Uberti and his wife Olivera, and daughter Kerstin Dupray and her husband Justin, grandchildren, Christopher Wentz and his wife Kaitlyn, Katelyn Wentz, Devon Dupray, Shaun Uberti, Isabella Uberti, Andrew Grabarz, Justin Trimarki and his wife Ashely, and Rebecca Bukalo and her husband Enis, sisters Maryann Audas, Andrea Niamtu, and Elaine Williams, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter in law Charlene Uberti and his brother John Uberti.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday April 27, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Friday, friends are invited to go directly to church for his Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph's Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
