Nicholas Vuich, a lifelong resident of Monroe, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024, at the age of 89.
A graduate with the class of 1953 of Monroe High School, he went on to manage the Food Basket store on Monroe's East side for many years. Eventually, he went to work for Ford Motor Company at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant. He retired from Ford after 32 years. He was an avid sports fan, a loyal follower of the Detroit Lions and Tigers teams.
He leaves behind many cherished loved ones. A burial service will be held on March 12, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI, at 1pm. Father Rade Obsenica of St. George's Serbian Orthodox Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church.
