Funeral services for Nicholas Alton Wood, age 31, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Mr. Thurmon Foskey and Mr. Justin Hergert officiating.
Nick was born June 23, 1991 in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jackie Garnto Brown. He was employed by Southern Way Retrievers as a Dog Trainer. He was a connoisseur of tater logs and fried fish. He was an avid University of Georgia fan, who loved fishing and had a passion for training dogs. But his biggest passions in life were his kids. He was a loving father, husband, son and brother. Nick passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 following an extended illness.
He is survived by his wife, Ashleigh Wood of Dublin; his daughter, Mackenzie Wood; his son, Brayden Wood; his mother, Rhonda Clements of Adrian; his father, Daniel (Sandra) Wood of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Kristen Edenfield of Soperton and Whitney (Ryan) Lastinger of Dublin; a brother, Stan (Makenna) McCoy of Adrian; grandparents, James Waddell (Betty) Clements of Adrian and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
