Nickolas D. Paladino, of Oviedo, FL; late of Richmond IN and Rockford, IL, beloved husband of the late Jean; loving father of Nickolas Jr. (Kim) of Knoxville, TN, Dominic of Hoffman Estates, IL, Cynthia (Dave) Stumm of Batavia, IL, and Kristin Dixon of Oviedo, FL; dear grandfather of Nickolas (Sydnie), Christian, Aniya, and Brianna Paladino, Grace, Jacob, Madelyn, and Michael Stumm, and Chandler, Chase, Alexander, and Ava Dixon; dear brother of John (Marilyn) and Donald (Sue) Paladino, Pat (Mike) Englehardt, and Frances (Mike) Murphy. Nick graduated Wheaton High School in 1959, then served in the Air Force for four years, before attending and graduating from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Nick and Jean married in 1967, and moved to Richmond, IN to begin raising their family. Nick worked for Belden Wire for all 37 years of his career until retiring in 2004. Nick, or Papa, as his 12 grandkids call him, has faithfully waited 23 years to join his beloved wife in heaven, and as a proud Catholic, he happily arrived at the pearly gates the same week as Pope Francis. Papa will forever be remembered for his love for his family, the Catholic Church, Fox News, the History Channel, Sci-Fi novels, and Italian food.
All services will be private and burial will take place of Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers donations me be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org or to Homes For Our Troops https://www.hfotusa.org
