Publish in a newspaper

Raymond "Ray" S. Simon, age 80, of Winfield, IL passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and hard work.
Ray was born in Chicago on November 8, 1944, and was the beloved son of the late Stanley and Mary (Michaelewicz) Simon. He grew up in Winfield and graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1962. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
In the 1970s, Ray began his professional career in purchasing at Molex in Lisle. He later followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded his own manufacturers sales representative company, supporting tool and die and plastic injection molding companies throughout the region. Known for his integrity and commitment, Ray built strong relationships and a respected name in the industry.
Ray and his former wife of 29 years, Kathy Simon, raised two sons together. Ray was a devoted father to his sons Raymond (Jennifer) Simon and Jason (Brittany) Simon and a proud grandfather to Matthew, Nicholas, Phoenix, and Kash, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-golfing, fishing, and boating-and cherished time spent outdoors and with family and friends.
Ray is also survived by his siblings Joann Litavsky, June Simon, Tom Simon, and Stanley Simon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ray's quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and kind spirit will be remembered always. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved.
In lieu of flowers, a lasting tribute may be made in Ray's name to:
