Beloved son of the late Douglas Castaneda and the late Susan née Mozal (the late Warren) Hansen, loving brother of Dawn Castaneda of Aurora, IL, dear cousin and friend of many.
Mike was born in Chicago and over the years resided in the West Rogers Park, Edgewater, and Albany Park neighborhoods. He was a graduate of Stephen Tyng Mather High School in Chicago.
Mike was most recently employed by Wesco Distribution Inc. in Carol Stream, IL. He loved music and enjoyed playing his acoustic guitar.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, 5:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers or contributions, the family requests memorial contributions be made to support the
General Service Office of Alcoholics Anonymous or the local AA Central Office/Intergroup.
