Wilfredo Torres Obituary
Beloved son of Wilfredo Sr. and Mera Torres. Dear brother of Teresa Torres-Roman. Fond uncle of Janesa Roman and Esteban Roman Jr.
Wilfredo was a loving and caring individual who was always willing to help someone in need. As a longtime member of N.A., Wilfredo not only attended meetings on a daily basis but also assisted with facilitating some meetings. Thanks to N.A. Wilfredo has remained sober for over twenty years, something that he was very proud of. Being as heavily involved in the group as he was, he was also always there to help others maintain their sobriety. Wilfredo loved attending parades and festivals, especially the Puerto Rican festivities. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the games on television. If he was not watching a Cubs game he would most likely be enjoying a western, especially something with John Wayne as Wilfredo was a huge fan. He also loved Star Trek, Star Wars and Harry Potter. In his caring nature, Wilfredo was also a wonderful dog uncle and helped to take care of his family dog, Lacie, when she was sick.
Wilfredo will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:30am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 722 High Street, Aurora, IL 60505. Burial will immediately follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
