Margaret Ann Gustavson

Gustavson, Margaret A., age 100, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at her home in Aurora after a short illness. She was born May 6, 1925 in Aurora, daughter of the late Arthur Pauley and Helen (Kreitz) Pauley.

Margaret graduated from Oswego High School in 1942. While primarily a wife, mother, and homemaker, she often did bookkeeping for Aurora Truck Body, Inc. late at night on the dining room table, and in the company's office after her children were grown.

Margaret was a member of the Aurora Advent Christian Church (now Redeemer Community Church) for many years. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was an active leader of the Women's Fellowship.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Samuel G. Gustavson Jr., in 2011. Survivors include her children, Linda Gustavson of Skokie, Steven Gustavson of Aurora, and Alan (Laura) Gustavson of Scotts, Michigan; grandchildren, Anna (Brett Hayward) Gustavson, Sam and Kristin Gustavson, Morgan (Ryan) Militzer and Jordan (Daniel) Balbuena; and great grandsons, Cooper and Kai Balbuena, and Owen Militzer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4 to 8 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, Illinois; her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10 AM also at The Healy Chapel with burial to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park.
