It is with great sorrow that we share the tragic passing of Nickolas Adrian Seifert of Anchorage, Alaska. He died at the age of 42 on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. Nick passed away surrounded by his family as he lost his fight with substance abuse at Alaska Regional Hospital. Nick was born to Lynn and Kerry Seifert in Anchorage on October 17, 1980. As a young child, his ferocious appetite for fun and adventure was evident to everyone around him. Throughout childhood, Nick always looked after his younger brother Jenson, making sure that he was safe and taken care of. He was kindhearted and generous, and always wanted to share what he had with strangers. Nick loved food and became a talented chef. Over the years he cooked at various restaurants and establishments throughout Alaska, most notably at the Alaska National Guard Headquarters on JBER. Nick was an outdoorsman and loved to be in the forest. He had a unique talent for fishing and could pluck a trout out of a stream within 5 casts. Nick's laughter and joy were infectious and his sense of humor was legendary. He loved all people and saw the beauty and value in everyone he came in contact with, always trying to make them smile. Nick is survived by his mother and father, Lynn and Kerry Seifert, brother Jenson Seifert, foster sister Mary Williams, foster brothers Christopher Norbert, Carl Cranston, and Jesse Rose. Nick is preceded in death by his foster sister, Tammy Sue Edwards. A public Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 10th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at AK Bridge of Hope, 20640 Chapel Drive in Chugiak.
