Nicolas BORDEN Obituary

September 1, 1985 - May 25, 2025

Spokane Valley - Our son passed away suddenly on the 25th of May. He was a wonderful son, father, husband, and friend to many. He loved his family and enjoyed making new friends. He loved to entertain and make everyone smile. Camping and fishing with his family was one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed running, auto cross, snowmobiling, working on cars, and loved his Miami Dolphins. Spokane Valley was his home for most of his life, with a short time in Ellensburg, WA. We moved to Otis Orchards where he started school and made some of his lifelong friends there. Moving back to Spokane Valley, he graduated from University High School and continued his education with a BAA from Eastern Washington University. Nic met the love of his life at a pub crawl shortly after Bloomsday in 2010. He married Alexa in September of 2012, they have two boys, Jaxon (10) and Caden (4). Always in our hearts and on our minds, love you so much Nicki.

Nicolas is survived by his wife, Alexa; and sons, Caden and Jaxon; his parents, Damon and Sharon Borden; his sister, Jesse Mains and her husband, Joe Mains; his brother, Brian Borden and his wife, Lindsey Borden; his grandfather, Glenn Borden; his nieces and nephews, Declan and Evelyn Mains, Kaia Masiel, and Logan Borden; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Jo Ann Borden and Dayle Braucht; as well as his grandfather, Obert "Bub" Braucht; his aunt, Carrie Brown; and recently his great-uncle, Roger Borden.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 29th at 2:30pm. It will be located at Center Place, 2426 Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA.

So sorry and shocked to see this today. He was an adorable baby and child, full of life and fun. He was one of my daycare children, and so sad for his wife and children as well as Sharon, Damon and Jessie and Brian. God bless you all

Alexa, as your neighbors and friends, we want to share our prayers and sympathy with the passing of Nic. We will long remember all the good times watching you and Nic together enjoying each other while sharing that same interaction with your two wonderful boys Jaxon and Caden.
Nic was always busy with projects around the home, but had time for the family to go camping, be at Jaxon´s soccer and football games, and still took time to debate with me over my Rams vs his Miami Dolphins; a team he enjoyed watching win over the Rams. We will remember Nic.
Our love Bob and Benita

To the Borden family, I am so sorry for what you're going through. Damon is a good friend of mine and although I didn't know Nick personally, if he is any reflection of his dad, then he was a great human being. Sending you all my love and prayers during this difficult time. Love, Joe Torres in El Paso, Texas.
