He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Paula Tejada Valdez; and parents, Epitacio and Juana Valdez.
He is survived by his children, Jose Valdez (Juana Benitez), Benino Valdez (Irma), Angel Valdez (Virginia), Raquel Valdez, Ignacia Valdez (Miguel Garcia), Marivel Valdez (Jose Diaz), Adela Valdez, Andres Valdez (Sylvia), Emma Valdez (Ismael Garcia), Paula Valdez (Miguel Garcia),and Nicolas Valdez (Sonya Arellano); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nicolas is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, located at 9110 US-183, Austin, TX 78747. Interment will follow at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.
