Nicole Marie Somma, born on February 2, 1987 in Sharon, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on October 10, 2025. A devoted wife, daughter, sister, auntie and friend, Nicole was a warrior with an immense heart and an extraordinary zest for life. Her radiant presence filled every room with happiness and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Nicole was the glue that held her family together, her deep love for them binding everyone with warmth and unity. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was passionate about good cuisine, delighting in culinary experiences that brought people together, which was one of her and her devoted husband Jay’s most favorite past time. Nicole was an excellent shopper with a keen eye for fashion, particularly for Lilly Pulitzer, which reflected her vibrant and joyful style. Her love for travel took her to cherished destinations, with Cape Cod and Disney holding special places in her heart.
Nicole’s love and marriage to her husband, Jay, was a true inspiration, a bond filled with unwavering devotion and joy. Selfless to her core, she always put others before herself, especially her beloved nephews, Gio, Matteo, and Alex, who adored their amazing auntie. Nicole’s time with them was filled with joy and warmth, creating memories they will forever treasure.
Nicole is survived by her loving husband, Jay; her parents, Fred and Kim Langer; her sister, Brittany Keleman (James); and her cherished fur children Lilly, Kona, and Whiskey. Upon arriving to her eternal resting place, her first fur baby Romo the golden retriever was surely waiting for her with puppy kisses and furry hugs. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
A celebration of Nicole’s life will take place on Monday,October 13, 2025, at Raymond Funeral Home in Norwalk, Connecticut, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Phillip Church in Norwalk.
