He was born on July 26, 1975, in Peoria, IL. Nik served in the US Army from 2005 – 2010. He was stationed in Kuwait, Iraq and Germany. He married Sabrina Erdmann in 2007 in Germany. She preceded him in death in 2021. He was also preceded in death by his birth mother, Vicki Warren; maternal grandmother, Sharon Jordan; and paternal grandparents, Jack and Bonnie McCord.
Nik is survived by his parents, Walter and Cathy McCord of Morton; brother, Rick (Coleen Willmert) McCord; sister, Angel (Jim) Thompson, maternal grandfather, Dennis Jordan; best friend, "fur baby" Thor; parents-in-law, Axel and Bev Erdmann, and sister-in-law, Yvonne Erdmann. He also leaves many memories to a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
Cremation rites will be accorded. At the request of the family, there will be no services.
