Nina Kerry Obituary
Nina graduated in 1952 from Athens High School in West Virginia. Following high school, Nina attended Mestine's Business School. She started her career at the Library of Congress in Washington DC where she met her first husband, Thomas Kerry. They married in 1958 in Washington Dc. The marriage ended in a divorce in 1983.
Nina moved to Ogdensburg in 1958, where she worked at Bob Moores Insurance Company, Duffy's Collection Agency, Ogdensburg Paper and Glass, Diamond International, Dr. Doyle and ending her career working for Dr. Manuel Palao.
She met Loren Beard in December 1983 and were together for 39 years raising 13 children together. Loren passed March 24, 2022.
Nina is survived by her children, Jeff Kerry, Virginia, Mike & Angie Kerry, Evans Mills, NY, Mike & Maureen Beard, Indiana, Wynne Burnes, Indiana, Mark & Tami Beard, Florida, Dan & Cindy Beard, Indiana, Tina & Gerald Kline, Indiana, Loren Beard Jr & Bob Ellis., South Carolina, and Matt & Kathy Beard, Massena, NY. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren with 2 additional great grandchildren due in Summer of 2026.
Nina is predeceased by her siblings, Claire Clemons, Mildred Thorne, Ralph Bowling, Maurice Bowling, Doug Bowling and Ray Bowling, her daughter, Diane Kerry and her beloved pets, Raider, Tanna and Foxy.
Nina enjoyed golf, bowling, softball, cards, traveling, and square dancing. She enjoyed watching the children and grandchildren in various school activities. Nina will be remembered for always willing to help those in need.
Per Nina's wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Summit Village and Samaritan Medical Center for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
