Nina R. Perez
April 7, 1963 – June 20, 2025
Nina R. Perez, formerly Nina R. Pena, passed away on June 20, 2025, in Victoria, Texas, at the age of 62. Born on April 7, 1963, in Refugio, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alejandro Pena and Petra Campos.
Nina was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister. She was the heart of her family - a woman of strength, warmth, and unwavering love. For 44 years, she stood side by side with her husband, Porfirio Perez Sr., building a home filled with laughter, compassion, and countless cherished memories.
She is survived by her children, Ashly Garcia (Jacob) and Porfirio Jeffery Perez Jr., both of Victoria, TX, her brothers, Jesse Pena, Abelardo Pena, and Gilbert Pena - all of Victoria, TX. Nina's greatest joys were her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought light and purpose to her life.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents; her beloved sons, Joseph Pena and Jason Pena; her sisters, Petra Garcia, Gloria Pena, San Juanita Pena, Teresa Pena, Rosemary Pena and Consuelo Villarreal; and her brothers, Alejandro Pena, Alifonso Pena, Joe Jose Pena, Juan Pena, and Joe Manuel Pena.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nina's life at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at De La Garza Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Pena, Nathan Perez, Juan Daniel Garcia, Andrew Perez, Mario Rosalez, Nivory Stovall Jr., Juan Daniel Villarreal, and Andrew Arroyo.
