Noah Roden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - Silsbee on Aug. 14, 2024.
Noah Aaron Roden, 23, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2024. He was born on August 21, 2000, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Amy Rebecca Tidwell Roden and Timothy Edwin Roden.
Noah was homeschooled as a child and learned about God from a young age. He was very intelligent and hard-working. He loved to have fun and his favorite thing to do as a child was play video games. In his teen years, he spoke of creating a game one day based on Biblical principles. When he graduated from high school, he went to Lamar University for a bachelor's degree in computer science, graduating with honors. He then worked as a software developer while continuing his education to obtain his master's degree in computer science at Lamar.
As a person, Noah was tender-hearted, but full of passion. He often lit up the room with his humor and contagious laugh. Noah never met a stranger and could make light in any circumstances as he often cracked jokes and encouraged those around him. He had a deep love for his family and his thoughts were always for their wellbeing and peace. Noah was a devoted brother and son. His family knew how much he loved them and he told them often with a big bear hug. Most importantly, Noah sought after His Lord and Savior with all his heart. You could often find him reading his Bible and in conversations about Scripture. To tell the story of how Jesus saves was Noah's passion. He had the heart of an evangelist and wanted all who were lost to know the saving grace of Jesus. Noah was actively involved in the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) at Lamar. In the past several months, he spent much of his time serving in leadership at the BSM and in their outreach to win souls for Christ. One of the last Scriptures Noah shared was in 1 Peter 3:13-17, which spoke directly of his heart for the lost and passion to bring the Gospel to them.
Survivors include his parents, Timothy and Amy Roden; siblings, Rebekah Roden, Judah Roden, Rachel Roden, Sarah Roden, Christine Roden, Elijah Roden, Luke Roden, Angelo Roden, and Nicolas Roden; and his grandparents, Harold and Marita Roden; and Jimmy and Betty Tidwell.
Noah is preceded in death by is sister, Leah Roden; and his grandmother, Linda Tidwell.
A gathering of Noah's family and friends will be 11:00 a.m. with his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2024, at Parkway Life Church, 1865 Farm to Market Road 3513, Lumberton under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery.
