Noe Morris Baltazar, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in
Katy, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 9, 1953 to Mauricio G. and Janie L. Baltazar, who precede him in death. He is survived by his older brother, Emilio R. Baltazar and youngest sister, Judy A. Tijerina and her spouse Juan Tijerina, along with many nieces and nephews.
Noe graduated from MacArthur High School in 1972. Education was very important to him and after graduating highschool, he went on to pursue courses at San Jacinto College, University of Houston, and Houston Community College. He ultimately earned a degree from Houston Community College, respectively, as well as a Bachelors of Science degree from The University of the State of New York at Albany in 1994. Professionally, Noe held positions at various companies such as Circle K, Igloo, and was a Lab Technician at Hercules Chemical Corporation. Eventually, he would settle into a career as an agent with the Social Security Administration in Houston where he would help many individuals and families. In 2019, he finally retired from the Social Security Administration after 28 years of service.
Noe was a lover of history and traveling. He was well traveled, having visited many states in the U.S. and countries abroad. He enjoyed sharing vivid stories of his experiences in other countries such as dining in Canada, traveling across the English Channel from England, and viewing the pyramids from a boat excursion on the Nile River in Egypt.
In his appreciation for other cultures, Noe learned and spoke various languages and held friendships with people all over the globe. He was known to begin speaking in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian in casual conversations, especially those about musicals and movies. Noe was a fan of international films, Disney, and he loved Broadway musicals. He held an affinity to the musical numbers so much so, that he collected soundtrack CDs in not only English, but various other languages. He could always be heard singing tracks in those foreign languages.
Noe was a collector at heart. Aside from soundtracks, he was known to collect other items as well - anything from matchbooks and magnets to chronicle his travels, to university shirts and superhero comic books with Superman comics being his favorite to collect. He was also a devoted "Trekkie" and a fan of all things sci-fi. Star Trek comics, books, and movies were among another of his treasured collections.
After retirement, Noe spent his days living independently where he enjoyed shopping trips to Costco, eating out at Cracker Barrel, enjoying the company of family, and going to dinner with his friend James and his missionary friends.
Noe was a kind and thoughtful person who always gave to those around him. Although he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on and be celebrated by those who were closest to him.
