Nora Elizabeth Howell, 67, of Dover, Delaware, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2024, after a series of medical obstacles.
Nora was born on June 30, 1956, to James and Frances Hanna in Limestone, Maine. Nora grew up in Dover, Delaware, and graduated from Dover High School in 1974. She went on to pursue her education receiving a bachelor's degree from Delaware State University in 1980.
Nora had the unique ability to inspire and nurture creativity in others through her gift of teaching and her love and passion for music and art. Nora also loved reading and spending time with her family. Throughout her life, she was often recognized for her willingness to help, enthusiastic spirit, and ability to harmonize with any song.
Nora is predeceased by her father, James Hanna, and mother, Frances Hanna. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Glen Howell; children Lindsay Schulze and her husband Will, Katie Howell, Mitch Howell and his wife Brittani, and Annie Howell; grandchildren Jesse, Jeremy, Jayda, Averi, Rosalee, Macy, Cohen, and Addison.
Saturday, January 27, 2024, visitation will be held at 2pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm at Immanuel United Methodist Church 756 Main St, Cheswold, Delaware, 19936.
