Nora Torres, 52, of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Viewing will be from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with a rosary and funeral service at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Torres was born on October 28, 1970 in San Angelo. She attended San Angelo Central High School. Nora was a waitress and hostess at restaurants in San Angelo and was a custodian at the Tom Green County Library. She also worked at Shannon Medical Center and Manor Terrace as a housekeeper. Nora was funny, had unconditional love, and gave without hesitation. She loved watching all the Madea movies, Hallmark and Lifetime channels and as well as Novellas. Her famous menudo was always requested at local washer tournaments. She won the God's Country Menudo Cook-off in 2019. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Nora loved hanging out with her nieces and nephews and spending time with her family. Her children and grandbabies were her world.
Nora is preceded in death by her parents Jeri Gatica Torres and Ascencion Torres Jr.; and her brother, Adrian Torres.
Survivors include her five children and their significant others, Sabrina Torres and Carlos Ramirez, Serena Torres and husband Mark Briones, Sierra Chavez-Torres and Jonah Burke, Isabelle Chavez and Isaac Jimenez, and son Julius Chavez all of San Angelo; six siblings, Paul Torres and wife Irma, Gabriel Torres and wife Belinda, Oscar Torres and wife Cynthia, Roger Torres and wife Yolanda, Adam Torres and wife Melinda, and Norma Torres all of San Angelo; Three grandchildren, Mark Anthony Briones Jr., Alyssa Renee Briones, and Mavryk Ascencion Briones all of San Angelo.
